【 ～西坂公園と長崎の街並～ 】
抜けるような青空・・・長崎駅から徒歩3分。
西坂教会のガウディ風建築に見とれながらふと足元を見ると、
1597.2.5 と彫られている・・・
・
今から424年前、ここは
秀吉のキリシタン禁教令により日本で最初に26名の
キリスト教弾圧の殉教者が出た場所だ。
そんな現実があったとは思えない程長崎の街並みは美しい・・・
長崎讃歩は長崎の悲しい歴史に触れる讃歩でもある。
※2年前ローマ教皇が長崎訪問した際この地を訪れ、
殉教者への祈りを捧げている。
